Today’s Modern Enterprise may require a more flexible workforce – requiring the ability to remotely and securely connect to critical line of business applications from the home office or from the “road” and possibly using their own mobile devices.

Today’s Modern Enterprise needs to secure its’ critical business data in the context of a mobile workforce and increasing external threats to this information.

It may well be transacting a significant percentage of its business through an on-line store or connecting electronically to customers, suppliers and fulfilment partners in order to process day to day business.

Not that long ago, work was a place.

Now, it’s a state of mind.

Picture a typical 21st-century worker, standing at a bus stop, texting a friend. “I’m going to work,” she writes. Then, as the bus pulls away, she sends an email to a co-worker, checks her calendar and reviews last week’s sales figures.

When did she get to work? Was it when she turned on her phone or tablet?
