Project Management
Wikipedia defines Project management as “the discipline of organizing and managing resources in such a way that these resources deliver all the work required to complete a project within defined scope, time, and cost constraints”. Almost all projects may be broken into five phases:

1. Initiation
Meet with the client to establish what they want to achieve, it is only with a thorough understanding that we can move forward. Very often this means understanding why the project is being done and that there is a real need for it. For some projects this means establishing not only what the problem is but also is it worth fixing it - what will it cost if you don’t fix it? What if you do nothing? We aim to ensure that we can translate your long range business plans into a workable strategy.

2. Design
After all the goals and objectives have been reached we then review the scope of work, then create and implement policies and standards and design and prepare the project planning documentation.

3. Execution
Once the design phase has being reached and everyone is happy with the proposed solutions we then implement the agreed project plan.

4. Monitoring
During and after project completion, we allow the systems to bed down and test all systems to ensure correct operation and ensure full integration before introducing them into the production environment.

5. Completion
Upon completion of implementation and after testing we then review the initial goals and objectives to ensure that all requirements have been met. To finish the delivered project, we provide full Project Completion Documentation, including of all technical documentation and network diagrams.

The above is a very simple model and it is through proper and complete management that we will achieve results. Often you don't know how long a project should last, or how many people will be needed to deliver it. DNA IT Solutions employ dedicated consultants and project managers who liaise with all parties involved in a project, so from design to delivery we ensure that it is completed on time and within budget. For customers this means minimal risk and peace of mind.
